Early Days

Elliott Started in karting at six years old, wining regional championships in the later years of karting. At 16 he transferred into Spec Miata, competing in the Teen Mazda Challenge during the 2011 season, ultimately winning the prize and being invited to Mazda’s Factory Shootout. He would emerge as the winner of the 2012 Mazda Factory Driver Scholarship.

Mazda Factory

Elliott would be a Mazda Factory driver for the 2012-2014 seasons. Competing in the Mazda MX5 Cup with CJ Wilson Racing, he would go on to finish second in the 2013 championship by single digit points. During this time he would also go on to compete multiple times in his first 24hr races. In 2014, he raced in the Continental Tire Series with CJWR. In late 2014, he was invited to Porsche’s Young Driver Academy Shootout.

Porsche Junior

Elliott would be selected as a Porsche Junior for the 2015 season. He would compete in the IMSA GT3 Cup with Wright Motorsports, winning the championship in his first year, along with five victories, ten pole positions, and 13 podiums in 16 races.

Porsche would select him to represent North America in the next Porsche Factory Shootout in Germany where he would go on to place second.

 

Diversity and Growth

Elliott has since raced in a range of series and cars from vintage to modern GT3 machinery, all in an effort to become the most rounded and complete driver he can be. This includes learning all aspects of car engineering, team management, and hands-on wrenching.

Away from the track

 

Scholar.

Elliott currently is finishing up a degree in small team business management and plans to continue with a masters in systems engineering.

Car nerd.

Elliott has a deep passion for automotive and motorsport history, diving into details, the how and why, with many of today’s top brands and products.

Space nerd.

Elliott’s second passion is all things spaceflight and astronomy. If he’s not working on something for motorsports, it’s probably in this field.
